I'm settled today for the first time in a while. I don't really know what that means, or how to explain it rather, so don't feel strange if you have no idea what I'm talking about either. I finally caught up on some much needed sleep that I've been missing out on for too long. Sleeping 2 or 3 hours at a time and skipping meals was making me kind of run down. I've also been letting my staying up late habits get a bit out of hand, so I'm going to try and cut back on that at least a little. I 've seen enough sunrises for the time being. Sunsets, however, I can never get enough of.
My weekend was good. I had a fun night out with some friends and showed off my disturbingly awful pool and dart playing skills. Seriously, I have never played pool that badly before. I hadn't played in a few months, but that was just pathetic. Oh well, looking stupid in public isn't exactly
new for me. I should've taken more pictures with my camera phone. Or at least posted the ones I did take on my MySpace page. Hehe. No, I wouldn't... would I?
Hope that everyone had a nice Mothers Day. Mine was nice. My mom liked the stuff I got for her, and my grandparents visited too. They came to church with us, which I like better than actual visits because there is much less time to ask questions about my love life (or lack thereof). And I borrowed some great shoes yesterday from my mom. Don't ask me why, but pretty shoes just make the day that much better. They're hot pink strappy stillettos with alot of little tiny buckles. They matched my dress perfectly, and I had hot pink nailpolish and toenail polish too. It's kind of... tropical. It makes me unnaturally happy to be that coordinated sometimes.
Today I'm hanging around the house and getting things done. I have some Deviant Art stuff to work on later, including at least one photo of this freakish green spider I found in the roses. (Another one). It's bigger than the first, and I had the constant fear that it was going to jump on me. When I would move around to take pics from different angles, it would spin around and glare at me. (Alot of my writing is about spiders, isn't it? That's so not normal). So, I had to get all ghetto on the spider, like, "oh no you di'nt" and the spider started moving closer to me. And I'm still taking pictures. And he's getting closer. And I was zooming in for another close up... when a fly ran into my ear, and I shrieked and dropped the camera. Spider wins again. Do'h.
Yesterday afternoon I heard a remake of the Phil Collins song, "In The Air Tonight" on the radio. We kind of laughed about it at the time, but it has been STUCK in my head since. If anyone was hanging around my house today, and you heard someone in the shower singing that... it... yeah that wasn't me. I wish people would stop using my shower. Geeze. Anyway, the radio version was a woman singing, but now I can't find out who it was. If anyone knows, let me know please. In the meantime I have to look up the lyrics, because if I'm going to be singing it anyway, I may as well know more than like, three lines of it. Have a nice night everybody.
